My name is Maya Tee, owner of Twink Artistry by Maya Tee. I’m a self taught MUA based in Durham, NC with over 11 years experience. I specialize in natural glam, and bridal looks. Since a young girl, I’ve always had a fascination with maekup. I would just sit with my mom and watch her apply her makeup in the mornings for work. I would rush home from school just to play in her makeup before she would come home from work. Over time I grew an overall passion for the beauty industry itself. In 2010, I enrolled in cosmetology classes at my high school, Hillside High School. In 2012, I graduated with my cosmetology license from Holton Career Resource Center. I went into the beauty industry shortly afterwards. Upon my journey of doing hair for two years, I found that I really enjoyed doing makeup the most. A friend of mine expressed to me that she loved how I did my makeup every day, and asked if I could provide her with services for an event she had coming up. She was my first paying client and when I saw her reaction and how she was pleased with my services I decided that this was my true calling. Not only do I love makeup, I love the feeling of making women feel beautiful. Twink Artistry is not here to cover your beauty, I am only here to enhance.
